Knitting and seaside coziness
111 15 Stockholm
Welcome to an inspiring knitting course at Fjäderholmarna! During this experience we will go through the basics of knitting, how to use different types of knitting needles and the most common knitting stitches and techniques. After the course, you have learned to cast on stitches, knit & purl stitches and how to shape the knitting by increasing and decreasing stitches. Knitting in the folk style is a meeting of tradition and craftsmanship. With simple utensils and natural materials, designs are created that carry the knowledge of generations. It's rhythmic, earthy and serene - a timeless technique that connects hands, heart and history. With beautiful weather, we sit right on the shore of the Baltic Sea outside the shop Elmina & CO. In case of rain, we stay indoors in the shop. Read more about Elmina here: elminafors.com
